About Vidlin

Vidlin, with its pier and marina, gives good shelter in southerlies and is accessible at all states of the tide.

Vidlin Voe is situated on the east coast of Midland Shetland, a narrow fjord pointing south. This has an ayre at its end, crossed by the road leading round to the east side of the Voe. Vidlin's fortunes have always been closely linked to the sea, and there's been a fishing settlement here since well before 1600.

Vidlin is the terminus for the ferry to Out Skerries.
