About Huna

Virtually disused, this small remote harbour lies just three miles west of John O'Groats. Only the occasional small fishing boat now uses the shelter of the twin jetties. Directly opposite the deserted island of Stroma, visible in the distance in the photo, the harbour is no longer used to support its small offshore population following their departure forty years ago.
